Snowmageddon 2011
We decided to set up a camera to capture Chicago’s 2011 Blizzard. 40 hours later, we had 16″ in most areas, and over 4-foot drifts! Enjoy!

My Sabrina’s 6th Birthday
It’s so hard to believe my oldest daughter just turned 6! It seems like yesterday she was coming into the world. She asked for a Tinkerbell birthday party “with dancing” this year. We have DJ lights in our basement, and we have random dance parties down there. So it’s tons of fun for the kids to bust a move at parties!
My wonderful friend Gloria of A Peace of Heaven Cakes (http://apeaceofheavencakes.com/) made the incredible cake. I was in awe! Our friend Todd drew the beautiful castle (yes he’s available for mural work!). My mom did face-painting, which the kids and adults all had fun with! Happy Birthday, Bean! I love you!
Alice in Wonderland fun…
We were invited to a friend’s costume party this year, and I decided we should have a family “theme.” Wade, in his infinite patience, went along with the idea. Even to the point of me slathering him and our daughters in makeup. LOL. In order, the pictures below are: The Queen of Hearts (from the Johnny Depp version), The Cheshire Cat (from the original Disney version), The Mat Hatter (from the Johnny Depp version), and Alice. Thanks to my family for going along with my crazy creative bursts! xoxo
Go Black!
Our good friend Eddie is the head coach for a local flag football team. His son Austin’s on the team (the best player, in our completely unbiased opinion, of course). These kids are FIERCE on the field. I would not want to be on the receiving end of one of their flag strips!
We had a blast watching this undefeated team win their championship game! Go Black!
Trip to the Apple Orchard
Our family makes a trip to the apple orchard every year. It’s so much fun wandering through the rows, eating apples as we go. There’s something very relaxing and bonding about it. And my girls pack away more apples in that one day than they do in a month! My favorite part is the end of the day, when we stop for cider donuts. I love the look on Ellie’s face in the last picture… pure bliss! Here are a few pictures from our 2010 trip…
Fall pictures with my daughters
I took my girls to our park for a few fall pictures. Sabrina had so much fun posing! Eliana was cranky when we first started… they always say it’s hardest to photograph your own children!
But she warmed up quickly, and had fun playing.
My Eliana turns 1
On a more personal note, my daughter Eliana turned 1 this year. I can’t believe how fast the time has flown! Here are a few pictures of her at 13 months…
Our new addition
We welcomed Eliana Renée into the world on April 9, 2008. She was 6 lbs, 5 oz, and 19″ long. Sabrina is so excited to be a big sister! Today I was taking pictures of Eliana, because she was in a great mood… So Sabrina decided to join in on the fun. She has a disposable underwater camera that we let her play with, so she was “taking pictures” of Eliana just like me. Looks like we’ll have to start training her pretty soon.
