Amy & Steve’s Wedding
Amy and Steve are such a fun couple! I felt like I was photographing the wedding of old friends. One of my recent couples, Kim and Joe, were there with their family, so it was fun to see people I knew! From the gorgeous purple bouquets by Donna’s Designs (http://donnasfloraldesigns.webs.com/), to the Maggie Sottero gown, to the red velvet wedding cake, Amy’s taste had Christina and me oohing and aahing!
We had a great time capturing all the fun moments with this crowd! Congrats, Amy and Steve!
Lauren & Stephen’s Wedding
Stephen and Lauren grew up in the same church, and it wan’t until Lauren’s senior year of high school that they became friends. Months later they began to date. Five years later on their anniversary, Stephen got down on one knee at the Apple Store where he works. Hidden cameras capturing every moment, each Apple computer running slideshows of their courtship, pink roses everywhere, and romantic music playing in the background transforming the store into a celebration of their relationship. She said yes!

Laurel & Travis’ Wedding
Laurel and Travis had a lovely outdoor wedding in Michigan… such beautiful surroundings! A sprinkling of rain didn’t deter the guests from watching the couple tie the knot… literally! Laurel is a chef, and the food did not disappoint! They had the most incredible fruit tower I’ve ever seen! And let’s just talk about those cupcakes… I may need to place an order for more pistachio cupcakes very soon. Michigan’s not too far to drive, is it?

Holly & Mike’s Wedding
Holly and Mike were another couple who had entered our wedding giveaway last winter. My second-shooter Amy and I had a fun time working with them! This wedding was located in Wisconsin… one of the few travel weddings we’ve had this year!
Luck was on their side for an outdoor wedding, as an all-day storm stopped just long enough for them to use the gorgeous lakefront gazebo. In one of the more unique garter ceremonies I’ve seen, Holly surprised Mike with Cubs tickets in her garter! Such a fun couple and fun reception. Congrats, Holly and Mike!
Kim & Jeff’s Wedding
Kim and Jeff were one of the couples who had entered our Wedding Giveaway contest. I was so excited to work with them! My second shooter Christina and I had a blast at this wedding… such a fun couple with hilarious friends. At the end of the night, the DJ said we were the hardest working photographers he’s ever seen. We had so many great moments to capture!

Megan & Kentrell’s Wedding
What a beautiful family! Megan and Kentrell, and their daughter Audrey picked such lovely locations for their wedding day. The wedding was at the Chicago Cultural Center, and we also photographed at The Palmer House and Millennium Park. Megan decided on a 1930′s theme for their wedding, and her dress and hair matched the theme perfectly! Congratulations!
Kim & Joe’s Wedding
Kimi and Joe were one of our contest winners for our wedding giveaway. This wedding was so much fun, I had a hard time narrowing down photos for teasers! You can tell Kimi and Joe are loved deeply by their friends and family.
They met through mutual friends years ago, and then ran into each other one night and exchanged phone numbers. Joe was very persistent, and made an appointment with Kimi to get a haircut… even though he clearly was not in need of one!
Two years later, they were supposed to be going to a birthday party at the Signature Room. After dinner, Joe proposed at 10 pm on 10/10/10!

Our Wedding Photography Winners!
I’ve been under the weather, and unable to post… but I wanted to update this with our wedding giveaway winners! Congratulations to Becky and Barry, who won first place! Because the race was so close, I decided to award a second free wedding to Kim and Joe! Both couples went to amazing lengths to get votes, and the friends and families of all the contestants were wonderfully supportive. I am so excited to work with them all!
To add to the spirit of generosity, one of my favorite makeup artists, Jen Jackolin, offered free makeup services to our first place winner! And Kim, our second place winner, offered free hairstyling to our first place bride. I was blown away by the good-natured congratulations I saw from both sides. Further proof that Lion’s Roar brides are the best on the planet!
